Please TRY this method 1st the u8815 downgrade upgrade tool zip - this MAY allow the upgrade downgrade of roms

2nd Method if above fails

*** DISCLAIMER IF PHONE BREAKS YOU WILL HAVE TO RETURN TO SERVICE ***

This is a boot loader version check bypass

This is ONLY to be used to UPDATE if Official HUAWEI UPDATE.APP FAILS

i.e B894 B895 > B926, B927

B882 B885 B886 B88x? PLEASE TRY HUAWEI OFFICIAL UPDATE 1ST

It's the only known way to Downgrade ROMS

There are Two types of ICS Modified ROM versions those that have ICS basebands / firmware, B926,B927 based they will come as a zip

and some like cm9 and ligux are ICS Modified ROM versions made to run on GB basebands / firmware again a zip

WE DO NOT USE THEM HERE

USE only the OFFICIAL Huawei UPDATE.APP

The original update.app is ALWAYS official ICS we cant alter the update.app, This is B926/7 based with ICS basebands / firmware

Because I have applied Original ICS 4.0.3 I now permantly have ICS BootLoader

It changes Bootloader I.D not Bootloader to allow change between Roms

So Now I must use this method everytime to allow Change between Roms

via update.app method until a newer booloader version is released

*** This method can and will kill phone if done wrong ***

it will also set IMEI to zero so a backup needed of your IMEI number

****..... DO NOT PROCEED TILL YOU ARE 110% SURE YOU HAVE A ORIGINAL IMEI BACKUP .....****

You must restore ORIGINAL backup of IMEI AFTER OFFICIAL HUAWEI ROM is flashed

You MUST know how to Root ALL ROMS from B882 to B92x ICS 4.0.x

if you don't understand English or fully understand

please ask before you try this

Dazzozo modified version of my guide https://docs.google....QHNo/edit?pli=1

I only translated the Guide

it's the Chinese downgrade method with English text conversion

DAZZOZO Tested and updated the Guide

I can confirmed I have used both a B926 IMEI backup AND a B895 IMEI backup to downgrade to B882

nice :)

i wonder if the method could be refined or something of the sort. :)

hoping Paul can - will do this - its also really needs to be confirmed on another phone - although Ive used it 4 or 5 times now

and just to add Ive just received a phone call on this phone, so it works!

Bit pointless making a thread without posting the method. People know well already that anything they do is at their own risk, the people who upgraded to B894, for instance. :P

can see Gary's point in asking permission before posting the method; as not to be liable for bricking people phone if it goes tits up.

also to see if Paul can maybe help in making easier or less likely to brink

well...you know what some people are like. they'll point the blame at someone else even tho they pulled the trigger; seems to be the general culture of society now days imo.

They can blame and they will anyway. Nothing changes that.

think Gary just needs to remember to use big bold text etc for the disclaimer.

5lromtoolbox, did you use this to back up your imei files Gary? It appears to work on the G300 to backup imei but I haven't had to use it for restore thankfully.

anyone want to be a tester? @ own risk - you need a G300 with b894 or b895 that has tried and failed to update to ICS, still have your receipt and enough balls to return if YOU brick it!
