Hello everyone, here is short and easy tutorial on how to root Lg Optimus L7 ( works on p700, p705 and p708 )

First of all let's prepare our phone for rooting, you will need:

• Firmware V10A ( tutorial for flashing firmware can be found [link] )
  
• USB Debugging on ( Settings, Developer options, than tick USB debugging )
  
• Phone connected in mass storage mode
  
• Root tool
  
• Usb drivers

Now let's get started.....

Download Root Tool and Usb driver, unpack root tool and install Usb drivers.
Connected your phone to pc in mass storage mode.
Start Lg Optimus L7 Root.bat
Now your phone will restart several times during root process, but you will have to wait when is restarting to finish booting and when you are on lock screen press any key in Root window to continue...

After few mins magic is done and your phone is rooted

I just tried this and in every step it said it failed but at the end it said that my phone was rooted

but nothing happend, no change at all

can you help me?

We need little more info  like hecatae said, which firmware do you have how did you connect your phone to pc did you install usb drivers etc...

my phone is using the V10a-25-June-2012

I tried with the root tool, but I get error in every step, like "failed to create folder/permission denied"

Did you flashed V10A firmware?

no, I didn't, cuz I actually updated to V10a.

I did follow the tutorial, installed the drivers that I downloaded from here and the root app to


the thing is that the rooting app. is not allow to change anything in the phone

could be cuz I am using windows 7?

Go to settings, scroll down to end enter in About phone scroll down and write me Software version which you use

Yeah that's updated v10a for p708 you have to do next:

Follow flash tutorial and flash v10a for p700 it's fully compatible than run the root tool.... Wrote back if you have any problems with flash etc...

For now no, you can wait for unlocked bootloader than i will release cwm recovery

I have succed to root my L7 (LG-P700)..but, is it anyone who can advice my how to get CLOCK WORK MOD RECOVERY to work on this mobile??
