Facebook Contacts Sync?

Being new to ICS ive only just found out that you can't sync your contacts with facebook, because google and facebook 'wont' allow it,  or whatever. Yet it still gives you the option AND you can do it on GB?

Anyone got a way around this? Ive tried a few apps, some didnt work some didnt work as I wanted. I know theres a fix but I cannot find it anywhere! I did find one but it was for custom roms (CM9 UIMI or somthing?) which are just letters and numbers to me!

Anyone point me in the right direction be much appriciated? :)

I use Facebook contact sync from the play store. Make sure automatic syncing is turned on in android settings to ensure it works.

Doesnt sync phone numbers :( was so much easier to get hold of people!
