I've had this phone for a few months and other than the initial faff of a slightly botched unlock, I've not had any trouble - it's been perfect for months. All of a sudden today my browser crashed, just closed. Every time I tried to open it after that it force closed itself, so I tried to open Opera MIni. This also force closed.

I tried turning it off and on again. What I usually get is:

Little green Android > black > Fish n Chips logo (dot round fish starts slowly, then quickly) > black > Enter PIN.

Now I get as far as the Fish logo, which does it usual slow, then fast, then black, but then it starts the fish logo again. It's just stuck in an infinite loop.

Anyone have ideas on fixing this? Thanks in advance guys.

This happens occasionally on a load of ROMs but it's typically just a ROM issue.

Try wiping /cache and if it comes to it, /data in recovery.

Ah ok, this is one of the things that went tits up when I was unlocking and whatnot - I couldn't get CWM to install. Is there a way to get to recovery without that?

if you have fish n chips installed, you must have CWM installed, surely?

Not as far as I can tell. Like I said, I thinked I botched something during the unlocking and stuff. CWM wouldn't install because when the phone restarted it wouldn't recognise it - just said "Waiting for device...". If I hold vol- and power it boots to FTM.

If you can't. Then try the method here
http://www.modaco.co...flash-recovery/
Use the image.bin file as suggested.
But remove battery, then put back in.
Then turn on with vol+ and home pressed until you see the progress bar
That should install cwm

Update time:
Thanks chris 231, that method worked to get CWM on, so I wiped the cache and rebooted but no joy. In the end I just wiped everything and installed Fish n Chips RLS7, although I'm not so sure about it - the window animations and such seem very slow. Thanks for everyone's help though!
