OK guys need some help here. trying to fix a liquid e. have no idea what they did but phone will not boot.

now, Acer download tool fails right away when started from recovery, but put in amss mode and it completes until the Nv data restore...it then fails and says recovery needed.

what I have done so far is during the  amss process it reboots into boot loader.before it has a chance I have successfully flashed cwm recovery and disconnected. I can now boot into cwm. I have flashed cm9 and cm7 successfully but it just boot loops at the Acer splash screen.

should I try another rom? or do you think I need to dd all the partitions back? something screwy is going on but I mean with cwm, adb, and fast boot access surely I can ressurect this thing?

did you wipe data and cache and dalvik cache from CWM before flashing ?

yes. full factory wipe/reset , wiped cache, wiped dalvik cache, wiped system. flashed cm7, looks like it flashes fine, reboot system...only get Acer android splash then it reboots and does this over and over...

when going into cwm it does mention it can't mount sdcard....problem?

ok it doesnt boot far enough to get a logcat going...it reboots too quick,,,,any ideas??

try flashing stock again using Acer Download Tool, and if it doesn't work then upload the latest log file from "Log_File" folder inside the tool's folder

Just make sure you are using cwm + cm9 because there is no issue with this combination. Just follow the exact  instructions in the first and second post of cm9 at http://www.modaco.co...iquida1liquide/.

i did exactly as described numerous times, just keeps rebooting...

ADT fails, constantly, it cant get it into download mode. the farthest ive gotten ADT is if i get the device into AMSS mode and start ADT from there, but then at the end it errors on nv restore....

will post the logs up, hold for link.

i can still get to bootloader and flash recovery...all cant be lost... is there a way to fully restore stock from recovery or fastboot?

heres an idea....i think a partition somewhere has gotten corrupt. heres my theory, ADT looks like everything is going peacy until it fails doing NVbackup, then if i try ADT in AMSS (download) mode, it makes it farthur but fails on NVDATA restore...looks for an .eqf file...????

heres my question, can someone provide me a full partition dump of the liquid E, and someone smarter than me briefly explain how i would either flash or DD them over? I have fastboot access as well as ADB within recovery...

I think this is my only hope...ideas? is mine a good idea?

note...at the restore i just picked a random xml that came with the download tool....obviously it didnt work...

so do i need a legit QCN from somebody??

can you give the exact steps (word to word and letter to letter) that you are using to flash? Where did you download the ROM from? Was the radio flashed separately earlier?

initially i have no idea what was done to the device to corrupt it. it is not mine (sister's) but as its a brick right now it sits on my desk, taunting me to resurrect it somehow for her.


I followed all guides on here for stock roms, and tried flashing with the acer tool that was listed as well. that fails as i described above.

now I myself cannot get the device into fasboot, but the acer tool does, for a split second. during this time i have managed to push CWM recovery across and sever the connection to the acer tool....thus giving me recovery...and an adb connection. which i assume i should be able to repair all the partitions. I just do not have the files or the proper commands to push them across. hoping someone here did.

now, what brought me to pushing all the partitions back, is that i can flash a custom rom no problem with CWM, but the device will continually bootloop after the acer logo, not even making it to the boot animation....so either the kernel is bootlooping, or the bootloader is corrupt and just wont make it that far. correct me if im wrong.

What happens if you try "adb reboot bootloader" from recovery ?

screen goes blank, message pops up for like half a second and says "failed to start download mode"

disappears and goes into its endless bootlooping.

maybe the bootloader got corrupted? how would one reflash that?
