At IFA in Berlin, Samsung has lifted the curtain on it&#39;s first Windows Phone 8 device, the ATIV S - the first of many Windows Phone 8 devices that will be arriving this year.<br />

Contained within the thin 8.7mm brushed aluminum chassis is a 1.5Ghz dual-core processor, 1GB of RAM, and an 8MP autofocus rear camera and 1.9MP front-facing camera - plus a huge 4.8” HD Super AMOLED display made from Corning Gorilla Glass 2.<br />

It will ship with either 16Gb or 32GB internal memory and both versions will have a MicroSD slot for expanded storage. A 2300mAh battery should keep the device running all day.<br />

We will keep you updated on availability closer to the Windows Phone 8 launch date, which is rumoured to be the 29th October 2012.<br />

Looks like a modded Galaxy S. Any word on release date?

If the camera is any good may be temped to get one, still waiting to see what Nokia and HTC are going to deliver.

I've seen the HTC Accord and the Lumia 820 and 920s being "leaked" nothing official though.
