split_bootimg.pl is a perl script so you'll need perl for windows to run it.

Tbh the best way is to install say Ubuntu in a virtual machine and apt-get install abootimg. I've been playing around with this recently and had all sorts of issues repacking the boot.img until I found omegamoon's earlier post http://www.modaco.co...e/#entry1955358

You're going to need linux if you want to compile your own kernel anyway
