Notification toggle on [ICS] [REPACK] [4.0.3] B936 U8815 OTA release [ROM]

Hi everyone,

I'm starting off this topic because it seems to be a lot of confusion regarding the notification toggle on the repack rom b936. Some people were able to put it to work by flashing the vendor package from previous versions... others, like myself (and from what I read, its the major percentage of people), tryed to flash the vendor package without sucess... no modications made after flashing.

Since the topic in question is dispersed in the "[iCS] [REPACK] [4.0.3] B936 U8815 OTA release [ROM]" topic, its seems logical to start a new one so we could find a way to make the notification toggle work on this rom.

Have anyone got an real idea or a working solution for it?

I'm using power toggles, works great! just get it from the market

It doesn't seem to have data on/off, unless I've missed it?

I downloaded 'Notification Toggles' free from Google Play which works well, it just isn't too pleasing to the eye!

Yes find ICS vender folder take out vendor app and put in dload folder turn off the phone and restart with both volume-+ pressed and if that doesn't work try the middle package or internal sd card if still no then I cannot help you.

I tried the method

Yes find ICS vender folder take out vendor app and put in dload folder turn off the phone and restart with both volume-+ pressed and if that doesn't work try the middle package or internal sd card if still no then I cannot help you.

I tried this method using the vendor app from the Chinese ROM, but kept getting 'Update Failed' and the the phone got stuck at the Huawei logo, meaning I had to reflash.

Personally I find the official Voda ROM to be much slicker/smoother than Infusion.

I am happy with the toggles app I downloaded until an official UK Voda ICS comes along though

You can't run the vendor app with cwm installed as it must need part of the bootloader where cwm is.

If flashed the official or forced way you can then flash the vendor app before rooting/ unlocking bootloader e.t.c. and it usually works if doing it after cwm is installed you get stuck in a boot loop. Found out the hard way but someone on here told me my mistake.

If you bought G300 from Vodafone, flash any UK Vodafone ROM, root it, restore your IMEI, and you can choose to stay on your ROM or flash again any UK ROM OR flash B934 with vendor update.app OR flash B936 and install any alternatives OR you could try to restore your IMEI on VF NZ B936 ROM.

For Vodafone's Huawei G300 vendor update.app is not needed as Huawei stated - and I confirm it - I tried it on my phone several times.

The reason that repack works for somebody is simple - they flashed it from Vodafone UK ROM with original IMEI. (if i simplify it: VF UK Bxxx ROM => VF UK == OK toggles appears, not VF ROM (without restoring IMEI) => VF ROM == no toggles)

Cheers for that it explains a lot of problems people have been having and is useful to know so as long as I keep my original IMEI flashing updates/ vendor apps e.t.c will be fine then.

How did you find or work that out amazing. I like useful info like that.:D

Any tips on how to get it to stay on top of the notification area,as I can't see anything is the settings?

(I have the service set to 'On' in settings, but it keeps dropping down the list)
