Guest i am not a hacker
HD voice is just the microphone quality being good. You use it when you are on the phone
Guest runhidesurvive
I had a surprise after calling my friend on his iPhone 5. The HD voice quality makes a huge difference. Just wish more phones supported it.
Guest BlueMoonRising
I don't know why but when I put Cyanogenmod on my OSF(which doesn't have HD voice) the voice quality improved and I considered it excellent, really clear as a bell. I've not really used calls much yet on my OSD to honest but haven't noticed anything amiss so it must be on a par. Edit :- I might add that I work in a call center so have been on the other end of a LOT of really bad mobiles(even when they've got a landline :( ) Edited September 29, 2012 by BlueMoonRising
Guest gaz1969
how do you know its using hd voice? do you have to turn something on. Gaz
Guest runhidesurvive
No, you and the phone you're calling both need to be on 3g and support the hd voice codec, it's automatic. It really was a noticeable difference, like a very good Skype connection vs a normal mobile phone call.
