I ported the Cyanogen 10 bootanimation.zip for a friend of mine (he has the Gallant duo...I don't) and thought it would be nice to share it with you all.
if you want to create one remember to compress it as a 7zip file, no compression, and rename it to .zip

just replace the file in /system/media (need rooted phone and a file explorer with r/w permissions on root)
You should also delete bootaudio.mp3, really it's painfully irritating

P.S. backup both your files before deleting/replacing them (bootanimation.zip and bootaudio.mp3). Also this worked on my friend phone without a single glitch...I'm not responsible of bricking/destroying/killing/turning into an undead/anything else your phone
