I've been reading about the wifi issues this device seems too suffer from and many people believe it may be due to interference from wireless keyboards/mice.

With this in mind I'd like to hear opinions on other options and maybe some recommendations. Would a Bluetooth keyboard/trackpad combo work with a Bluetooth dongle attached to the device? Could the Bluetooth interfere with wifi reception? Ideally I'd like to stay wireless. I'm also on a tight budget.

The cheapest option would be to try a USB extension cable.
That was you can move the wireless dongle away from the unit and reduce any risk of interference.
