Stuck with B888?

Hi,

I'm currently on B888 and I'd like to update to B892 before doing the bigger update to B926, as recommended.

However, I can neither do the OTA update nor can I find the B892 ROM anywhere. I mean, I've found several links (like the one on http://blog.podtwo.c...Stock ROMs.html) but they're all dead, and I can't find the download on Huawei's or Vodafone's websites either. Huawei seems to have taken down all the older ROMs.

So... What should I do? Just skip B892 and go directly to B926? Would that have any disadvantages?

Or maybe someone of you guys has the ROM saved on hard disk and could upload it for me? That would be really, really appreciated...

Best regards,

AntiTauon

I came exactly your route 3 months ago - and it worked.

Now, I would just try the newest oficial ICS:

http://www.yoigo.com...R001C86B944.rar

only install dload1 renamed to /dload/UPDATE.APP and not dload2 = vendor

and then root and CWM and put "infusion" on top, which is actually based on B944.

Or just enjoy it like it is - a bit "heavy" to my liking though.

Should upgrade you directly to ICS.

Cheers :)

Thanks for the fast reply.

So - I can just skip everything in between and go directly to B944? And that will also get me to baseband 2030 when I don't have it yet?

That would obviously make things a lot easier...

By the way, if I skip "dload2" that means I won't have the notification bar toggles (for wifi, GPS etc.), right?

But then again, if I go to Infusion right afterwards it won't matter... right?
