Hi everyone, Im new(ish) to this phone and after a couple of months I've noticed slight lags and force closes etc. Would rooting be my best bet in improving performance? What should be the first things I do to this phone to optimize performance and in what order?

Also is there a way I can back up data i.e notes etc before I start tampering?
