Has anyone successfully completed section 6 with an imei back that was not from the original firmware that was on the phone ie like from a custom rom imei backup?

I went through all the steps in the guide and it did'nt work for me.

I have succesfully downgraded from CM9 to B892. I was not following the tutorial, so all steps I made:

1) restore different IMEI - the one in downgrade tutorial
2) force flash UK 885
3) root it
4) restore my original IMEI
5) force flash UK B892
6) vodafone stuff appeared

did it like 15 times

when did u create your imei backup ScutulatusCrotalus the imei backup i have is from a custom rom dont know if it matters?

Using that method you used was you offered the b936f OTA update?

I did this backup before upgrading to B936. So I did it on B892 UK. At this time I use this method only when I downgrade my ROM from non-stock ROM. For downgrading from stock I use downgrade package from huaweidevice.com.

That means your backup is an original imei backup before you messed about with roms

mine isnt

Hi Aradalienz,

I had successefully downgrade from ICS B934 to GB B895 by following steps below:

1. Upgrade to Vodafone UK V100R001C02B936 (Overwrites Recovery and bootloader to Oficial Vodafone);

2. Install Oficial "Downgrade from ICS to GB for Vodafone U8815" (read PDF instructions. 1st use middle package, 2nd Install B895);

After Installed B936 I got Null IMEI but no issues...
