Hi Guys!

It's my first post at Modaco forum. I have strange issue with my new g300. I Tried root device with this instruction : http://huaweig300.com/huawei-g300-install-a-custom-jelly-bean-ics-rom-from-scratch/root/

When push volume + and power on I should get Android system recovery (11 point in instruction) but instead this i got below error:

E:failed to mount /cache (Invaild argument)

E:Can't mount /cache/recovery/command

E:failed to mount /cache (Invaild argument)

E:Can't mount /cache/recovery/command

I tried to find out solution for this issue but there is no exactly the same problem only similar. Do U have any advice what I should do ?

Just looking at the guide you're using and in all truth its s--t.

You would be better off using one of the guides on here , as there easier and more understandable.

The rooting procedure can also be done with one click on ICS( after unlocking the bootloader) or GB.

Check out the pinned topics.

Hi all,

I found solution for this issue. I had U8815V100R001C185B894 version of g300 with Android 2.3.6 and it looks that this version is not supported by this instruction also guide from modaco doesn't work properly. I downloaded http://g300.thebronasium.com/huawei/ota/V100R001C02B936.zip file which I found at modaco forum. Inside of this file are two update files, first file will change version to U815V100R001C00B934 second will update Android to version 4.0.3 with included SuperRecovery. Now phone works well :)
