How to disable AGC (Automatic Gain Control)?

The microphone issues of the Cloudmobile are all due to the aggressive settings of the AGC, both hardware and software. Can AGC be disabled on the device? If so, how?

Babbler audio recorder has settings to disable AGC, but they only work inside the app. Would be great if there was a way to disable AGC system-wide.
