Guest psionandy Posted December 8, 2012 Report Share Posted December 8, 2012 Gaming performance on the Vodafone ICS is truly awful, as it doesn't use hardware acceleration and its limited in memory. So even if you could install Dead Space on it, you're not going to get much fun out of it. CM9 on the other hand works great... I didn't say the UI, I said Hardware Acceleration, which certainly doesn't seem to function in 3d games on standard ICS which is why my ICS device got 1/3 of the frame rate running games compared to GB and CM9? What Frankish is trying to say is hardware acceleration does not affect gaming performance whatsoever. What you are experiencing must be a placebo. Well... it could be memory management..., it could be be lack of 3d gaming support, it could be some mad setting that was released in the official OTA upgrade.. Cm9 is significantly smaller than stock is, probably close to 100mb smaller with no bloat ware running in the background taking up resources.
