Chances of Sim Unlocking?

Now that OSD has root access, are there any there any chances of Sim unlocking it through root like Monte Carlo from Orange. I live in Pakistan and I'm dying to get this phone. Only thing that stops me from getting it is Sim unlock.

Short answer is no, root has nothing whatsoever to do with sim unlock
