I had been using Infusion B08 and noticed that B06 was now the latest stable version (aside: what happened to B10 etc? Why does there always have to be a 0?). I tried to update by downloading the new version and placing in the OTA-Updater/downloads directory. I started ClockworkMod ROM Manager and restarted the phone to boot into that program. I initiated installation from the OTA-Updater/downloads directory and opted to wipe everything when asked. When the phone rebooted following installation, the phone was stuck at the Infusion logo with swirling blue background. It did not progress overnight.

I had to remove the battery in order to restart the phone. I started the phone using the up volume key and initiated restore using the automatic backup from immediately before the failed update. After starting the phone, none of my apps work (they don't load and an error reports that they closed). I signed into Google Play and it is trying to download the apps it thinks I should have but reports insufficient storage (because the apps must already be installed, just disconnected in some way, in the software).

Did I do something wrong?

The Bxx numbering for Infusion was reset at some stage so previously there was B01 ... up to some version number and then it was reset back to B01. Bit confusing but I think that tillaz explains why somewhere in the Infusion thread.

Could you do a full wipe, install of B06 and then restore your apps again maybe? Seems to me that a lot of problems can result from not doing a full wipe and clean install wherever possible.
