i manage to compile frandom.ko. have to check if everything is working fine...

http://billauer.co.il/frandom.html
http://forum.xda-dev...d.php?t=2113150

This module is orders of magnitude (10-50 times) faster than the standard character devices ( Check this out - http://forum.xda-dev....&postcount=134 ). The erandom character device also installed by Frandom doesn't use up system entropy at all on top of being fast. You will need to ask your ROM developer to develop the kernel module for you and then place it in /system/lib/modules. CrossBreeder will then try and load it and if successful, make all the necessary adjustments so that both /dev/random and /dev/urandom are pointing to /dev/frandom and /dev/erandom respectively. The speed benefits are to be seen to be believed. But since each ROM requires a unique kernel module, this option is left optional ( but auto detect )

on cyanx2.3.8 2013 wifi is not working.i couldn't make it work..one can try to fix it. all wifi files are in system/wifi or if you check wifi from cm7 by cyanogenmod , in system/etc/firmware with one module in system/lib/module.
for the moment i am concentrating on ksm which give me reboot once running...and on frandom.

Hi Desalesouche,
I'm using the CM7 nightly versions from CM site, the last one dated is Feb 1st, 2013 but it is based on kernel 2.6.29. The question is, could I apply the new 2.6.32 optmized kernel over the previous one?
I will appreciate your suggestions
Thanks!

yes you can apply it but you will have to make some change...cos wifi wouldn't work .and you would have to check about libs/module
if you open zip from last cm7 update and you open zip from my last cm7 you can compare and make the necessary change...
try it!

ksm seem to be stabilized(?)no more reboot. frandom module is loading fine with appropriate script.
but i have to test it more as i am willing to make it work with crossbreeder. so i am giving feed back to crossbreeder thread to set it correctely cos wifi is working but impossible to surf with browser.
i will try also to see in another version with seeder would be ok.
will upload new boot /module and scripts(2). in a few hours now . for testing purpose.
hope i will have more feed back than usually...

Hi desalesouche,

I can't find the frandom.ko module in mediafire. Is your link ok?
Can you check it?

Are you erased the kernel link? I only see a link to download the frandom module.
Where is the link to download your optimized kernel?

Sorry for the lot of questions.
I think you have to update the first post with updated instructions.

Thanks

Hi desalesouche,

This kernel that you've uploaded.... which benefits it has vs the February 18?
I notice that you changed mzoom_hsmmc and light undervolt of display parameters.
Why?
Has you found errors?

Thanks for your work

Hi desalesouche,

Have you checked if your mobile (with your kernel) remains in deep sleep?
In my phone battery drains faster than before.
I don't know if the battery is beginning to fail or is by other reasons.

Today, I've installed BBS (BetterBatteryStats), an application that would allow check which apps are draining the battery.
What I've seen that the kernel never stay in a deep sleep status. Always is awake.

This can be a problem because my battery life is very short.
Can you check this in your phone?

Thanks

cpuspy is showing that deepsleep is ok...
edit:i made some new update in kernel.but i still don't know what is causing battery drain...so i reverted some things.but may be battery drain is from destructOr original kernel? so my changes are not causes?
i might be wrong but the intuition/idea i have is that is coming from mobile network settings/network preferences...
if i set to gsm only it seems to drain and if i set on gsm/wcda(wcdma preferred) battery drain is normal... might be coming also from 2g or3g
will check that.
what else positive or negative (except battery drain)...???

edit2:i manage to make some port from 2.6.35 into 2.6.32.9

new= arm:sp in lock:use ticket algorithm for armv6+locking implementation
arm/crypto: add optimized aes and sha1 routines
cryptohash=remove legacy hash/digest code
ashmem from 2.6.35
patch=introduce this cpu_ptr and generic this cpu ?
from 3.x mmc/omap.hsmm c:pass on the suspend failure to the pm core
omapzoom:nooz.sched:don't go tickless
revert read ahead revert nfts / revert kallsyms extra pass
