Interesting tool but from what I know, the DPI is strictly related to the resolution of the device. How can you improve it if the display resolution remains the same? :)

LE: read again the article. I see the point now.

it basically changes the DPI value of your screen, resulting in smaller icons, fonts, and pretty much everything else, thereby giving you more room for all the other stuff that you wish to fit in
