Probably not. Does it need Adobe Air?

Not supported by rooted devices???? That's bull****, root only opens up for stuff by letting the system be writeable. That cannot affect its compatibility!
And it definitely won't brick your phone at all!

Odd, maybe they think that somehow rooting can let you steal their stuff?

Actually that may be true. The cache may contain the video when streaming it and could stay there for some time after that. If we have root, we could obtain this video and keep it?
I dunno, just a thought

Is there any apps which can trick other wifi only apps to use the 3g connection? As it only works on wifi which is useless for me

No there aren't any. Even if there were, your phone would crash

The phone has near perfect support for adobe flash. So if you want to use it on 3g just use the website
