apologies for this if it  has been covered before but is there a way to resize the apps for people with poor eye sight (my good lady) I can make the text bigger but need to make the apps a bit bigger

I know you can do it on Nova launcher Nova stettings / look and feel and adjust the icon size looks like the shots below.

You can resize the desktop icons with Adw and Go launcher. Go launcher is set to large icons by default.

what you want to do is change the phones DPI (lcd density)

this will work for the whole phone and all apps

search the market for DPI changer, (higher number means it gets bigger)
