In this topic you'll find the utility and ROM to restore your Gemini Devices 7008 tablet to the latest software release.

Before you begin, please run the 'Updater' application and ensure your device is listed as a 7008. This ROM is NOT suitable for the 7008-newpanel or 7008-newgs.

Requirements

• Windows PC
  
• microSD card
  
• Card reader for PC
  Note that updating the ROM will wipe the device!
  
  Downloads
  
  In order to prepare for installation download the following files:
  
  • 251012-1600 ROM - DOWNLOAD - MD5: 3655a07a2b2f10d3e64396f5e1a3ae36
    
  • PhoenixCard - DOWNLOAD

  Installation

  To install the ROM on your device, carry out the following steps:

  [*]Unzip the two zip files you downloaded

  [*]Insert the microSD card and reader into your PC - note that the card will be wiped

  [*]Launch PhoenixCard

  [*]Click the 'DiskCheck' button - a drive letter should appear

  [*]Click the 'Img File' button and select the image file you just extracted

  [*]Click the Burn button and wait until completed ('Burn End' will be displayed as below)

  

  [*]Turn off your 7008 device

  [*]Insert microSD card into the tablet

  [*]Turn the device on

  [*]Watch the screen - 'Card OK' will be displayed when the update it completed and the screen will turn off

  [*]Eject the microSD card and start the device

Bought a new micro SD, but Pheonix Card just gives message - card preprocess failed !1012

I can format the card no problem through windows.

If through Pheonix Card I try formaty to normal, it just says it failed.

Hey there, i done all that this post says however when i out the SD card into the TABLET to update my Gemini GEM7008 it updated fine but then turned itself off and is not turning back on..

Do you have any ideas what i could try??

Hi,

 

I have the same problem. The update in my Gemini 7008 works fine (I see the Card Ok message when the progress bar ends), but the screen turns off and doesn´t turn on again.

 

Can u help us?

This will only work on a 7008

Tengo una tablet Modelo: GEM7008 y despues de comprar la tarjeta sd descargar todo y hacerlo, resulta que ya ni enciende la tablet, ¿Alguna solucion? o directamente la tiro a la basura

I have a tablet Gem7008-8G-512M-A13 (Code GEM125479015068201212). My son did not get the lock and unlock as the email account not remembered so I tried that and found the post but not here. The only thing is that I managed not turn now. I would beg to help me.

Mi hijo la bloqueo y no consegui desbloquearla ya que la cuenta de correo no la recordabamos así que lo he intentado con los post que e encontrado aqui pero tampoco. Lo unico que he conseguido es que no encienda ahora. Les rogaría que me ayudasen.
