Hello. Today my phone turned off, and won't turn on. I don't see it charging, the padstation tells me to unplug and plug it again...

I have a black screen, unlocked, rooted device with TWP recovery with latest stock rom.

I search on google and i found this:

http://forum.xda-dev....php?p=23078349

and this:

but this is for HTC.

I downloaded the QHSUSB_DLOAD driver from there (don't know if this HTC specific, but i don't think so, is for qualcomm "machines", i gess), for my Windows 7 ultimate X64. I also have a USB with ubuntu if needed to solves this SH*T!

I also found this,

http://www.bsquare.c...tware-downloads

looking in qualcomm website (don't know if this is important) and have downloaded from another site QPST

http://forum.xda-dev...d.php?t=1802024

This is serious dev... Can you help me? For now, my PF2 is a expensive ROCK! :excl:

I think the only way is to bring it to the service centre. Mine had the same problem and after using the drivers and all other methods, I can't solve anything.

What was the problem in your case for this to happen?

The service centre changed the motherboard. My phone was also unlocked n rooted. They didn't check or ask, replaced without cost.

My problem was exactly the same as the TS.

well, i went yesterday to the shop, and i know that is not ASUS who will repair it. Maybe i'll get lucky...

My daughts are, wen the phone comes, i'll root it again, but i am interested to know what was the main problem to avoid this to happen again.

I had TWRP recovery and stock latest WW ROM. I read that ROM Manager causes some problems with the partitions, causing something like this (i installed ROM Manager, but did not install anything from there)...

DO NOT Flash TWRP with latest FW. You will cause the Kernel to malfunction. Plus YES Warranty are VOID once you apply the ASUS Unlock APK. ASUS Service center will show the device had use the APK. This VOID Warranty applies to the PHONE not the owner. Unless you are in Taiwan, getting it repair from Asus HQ, that will be your only option.

Well, i'm from Portugal. In the shop they told me that is an authorized repair company that gonna repair it (not ASUS). I once had a laptop that have warranty and in the shop they substitute the motherboard (it was an HP laptop), and many companies works like this because they have 30 days to return the item or they have to refund the owner.

Changing subject, it's very important to know that TWRP and stock rom's don't work very well, this is a big issue... I had TWRP and stock rom, because i rooted my phone but never use the recovery... It was just a "just in case"... It's recomended NOT to install TWRP (even from goo manager)? And clockworkmod recovery have issues also, or when i get my phone back i could install CWM recovery with no troubles? What do you "gods" of asus padfone 2 recomend? Tanks...

I' didn't use any of the custom recovery,I only used super root from this forum and updated busy box. Previously I did a manual root before I updated to the wwe firmware.

I'm of the opinion that its either the rooting method or the new busy box doesn't like my phone....

Normal install will replace system file and this can brick your device. The smart install will check which file are already on the system and will skip the replance adding only the new one.

I used smart install... My phone bricked anyway... Maybe the problem is another thing?

I already updated mine and rooted (superboot method), but now I don't know if I can update the busybox or not...

I never installed a custom recovery, should it be safe?

I've bought mine on amazon, hope that the guarantee will also work...Your store is an official Asus? I expected more from the best pc motherboard..

If I get it back, I'll wait a while before flashing again. Mb til Paul gives us a great rom as usual!

Everything was fine but once I reboot got the same error, phone stays "off" and only recognizes as QHSUSB_DLOAD on device manager.

Is there a way to fix it or the only way is send to support center?

I'm from Brazil and everything here is harder to do it. Phone was bought on December/2012 at Digitec (Switzerland)

edit ======================================

Brazilian ASUS Support Center denied to give me support, they claim that only gives support to devices bought in Brazil for an official reseller.

For now, I don't know what to do. I have a device which cost me almost 1000 swiss francs and had 5 months of life only.

:~(

Almost 2 weeks with my PF2 dead.. asus service center from Brazili did nothing, and ASUS from Switzerland don't answer me.

I opened a thread on XDA also http://forum.xda-dev....php?p=39928058

So, no solution until now, right?

edit =================================

Download QHSUSB_Drivers_(x64).zip and update drivers from Device Manager, it works and it will recognizes it as "Qualcomm HS-UDB QDLoader 9008 (COM3)"

Download Qualcomm Product Support Tools (QPST) v.2.7.323
