ok,i'll explain to u what i want
here in Egypt there's an openning break (lacuna) on apn's Mobinil network that it's:-
when making a connection on mobile with an access point (mobinil web) and downloding any file
and at the same time
make another connection (dialup connection *99# by using mobile as 3g modem)
with another access point (mobinil wap),and downloading a file on my laptop and suddenly,
cut off the connection on mobile,
the speed of downloading increases on laptop
i hope u get it and helping me,
thx in advance.

You could just use Wifi, or USB tether. Whats so hard about that?

okay, let's explain by another way and i hope u understand me,
tether=share=1 connection=1 ip
and when cut off from mobile it'll cut off also on laptop.
But if there's a modem feature it won't cut off on laptop but still have a connection
cuz there's 2 connections and it's used by another apn
hope u get my point.

The G300 is like any other android phone, so try a friends phone. If the feature is there, the G300 will have it too. That's all I can advise, sorry.

yep now i've found one got me,
so it will turn off connection on laptop if mobile data turned off, that's exactly what‏ ‏i talk about and trying to tell u,but if there's a modem installed the two connections will run even if turned off any one of them.

How can it possibly still run if the data connection is lost? That's like saying my caravan will still be towed even though the car towing it has run out of petrol, yes the engine is still there but there's nothing to power it

i have nokia 701 , nokia c7 and acer liquid e ferrari edition with GB 2.3
all these devices do this simply cuz there's a modem installed in device manager
and they've a modem hardware feature installed in their motherboard.

I still have no idea what you are talking about. What Andymac said makes absolute sense :)

He's saying he wants two independent network interfaces.

With Wi-Fi and radio we have integrated network interfaces that will turn each other off if the preferred interface (Wi-Fi) connects.

He is saying, I think, that these other devices can make twin connections at the same time, presumably over the radio interface.

lol. I think all android phones support this function.
As to our G300 , just
  • Dial *#*#2846579#*#*
  • Select Project Menu
  • Select Background Settings
  • Select USB Ports Settings
  • Choose Normal Mode

Here you go, congrats having modem back :P
I know this is old topic, but still may be of help to some people
