Following on from the "interesting" browsers thread, what about twitter apps?
I have yet to find one I totally love - they all have nice features. Twelve months ago, I would have said tweetcaster. I stuck with Plume for quite a while, but recently have been using Falcon. Carbon, which everyone seems to be raving about, is a triumph of style over substance IMO - looks great but too limited.
I like twitter apps with streaming, so I don;t need to keep refreshing, especially on wifi. This is most improtant to me when I'm following a football match or other live event, as the updates appear in real time. Falcon does that best of the current crop... the new update of tweetcaster is close behind. My biggest issue with Falcon is that I don't really like the interface - too many boxes and lines... and then there's the real new kid on the block - Robird (@RobirdAndroid). It's evolving very quickly, with new updates daily adding features - it's very very fast, but doesn't have any sort of timeline autorefresh or streaming yet. But it is a tiny app compared to the other clients, so that might swing it for general use.
