[Edit: This modification is now in my FREE MoDaCo Toolkit - details]

This modification uses the 'Xposed' system, which must be installed as detailed in this post.

This modification will restore the missing 'back button options' in the 'Settings -> Display, Gestures and Buttons' menu on your HTC One. As it is an Xposed mod, it should be ROM version independent.

To install...
  • Download and install the modification APK - DOWNLOAD (ROMraid)
  • Enabled the module in 'Xposed Installer'
  • Reboot
Easy eh? More Xposed modules for the One will follow. :)

If you would like to show your appreciation for the modification, please consider supporting MoDaCo by signing up for a MoDaCo subscription!

Hi Paul - can you confirm, does this enabled menu item provide a 'long press back for menu' option, and thereby remove the black menu bar from legacy apps?

If so, this alone is worth the hassle of rooting...

I've just got a One, and installed and enabled this module, however it doesn't seem to be appearing! I've restarted since enabling too
