Hi Paul
I don't suppose there is any universal root checking thing in apps? apparently a lot of the squaresoft games check for root and don't work - as all my devices are rooted I'm reluctant to shell out £10+ for games that may not work

e.g.
https://play.google....e=search_result

I want to play but they make it so hard!

the barclays app is another one that checks for root :(
https://play.google....ysmobilebanking

anything the toolkit can help with?

thanks in advance!

Thanks for such awesome software. I'm new to Android (coming from iPhone 5 to HTC One) so maybe this has been addressed but I haven't seen anything yet from searching.

I'm using the HTC One running the Developer version (on my 32GB AT&T) that I got from XDA (http://forum.xda-dev...d.php?t=2265820). That's working great and so is everything else. The only issue I'm having is whenever I have any of the MoDaCo Toolkit modifications active, my Amazon Kindle app won't open anymore (crashes with an Unhandled Exception - I can post the logcat if it would help). As soon as I disable every modification and reboot, the app opens up without any issue.

I've tried numerous options enabled/disabled, and it doesn't seem to matter what option is turned on - the kindle app will always crash unless everything is off.

Has anyone else had this issue?

A logcat would be useful - i'll try and replicate it!

There's no standard method, it's something i'm actively looking into though.

No, not yet, shortly. You'll see here and in the app when it's available.

Version 24 is now online!

New in version 24:
  • Fixed: Hide kid mode and volume wake now work on HTC One 4.2.2 ROMs.
  • New module: Action Launcher Pro + HTC One: Transparent status bar
  • New module: System UI: Custom operator name
  • New module: Pebble: Low priority notification (removes persistent icon).
Enjoy! :)

I wondered how possible it might be to mod the Play Store to remove regional restrictions...
Annoying when a new app comes out for US only :-/

Which device?

P

I too would like this for the HTC one

I'm trying to LogCat for the Kindle issue right now, but ever since enabling Version 24 - I'm getting "HTC Sense isn't responding" when trying to get into settings - mostly because once I unlock my phone, my Google Now and Sense Weather/Time widgets won't load and I can't swap menu panes either.

To make things even weirder, things like HTC Sense, Settings, Tasks, Android.Process.Acore have requested SuperSU privileges. Once I grant these elevated privileges, everything works okay with Version 24 (Kindle still doesn't start)

It looks like there's a problem with volume wake at the moment, i'd advise keeping that option unchecked for now.

I can confirm that disabling "Volume Wake" on my HTC One solved the booting issue with v.24. Thanks!

Edit: Also confirming that v.25 (found below) resolves the "Volume Wake" issue.

New in version 25: Improvements: Hotfix for issues with volume wake / excessive superuser requests.

Attached is the LogCat for the Kindle crash. I believe I trimmed it from App Start to Kill. Let me know if anything's missing.

Thanks for the updates. The custom operator thing on the Nexus 4 leaves the operator name on the end of the custom string. Is that by design?
Also the notification bar the operator logo remains without the custom string. Same question - is it by design? Both I wondered if they could be toggleable on a future update... Low down on your priority list ;-)

Thanks!

Hi Paul,

Thanks for the great tool, I've been using it on my HTC One with ARHD rom perfectly! Any chance you can add a center clock option? I've hidden battery meter as I have Battery Reborn and would love a center clock option! :D

Could you please add these tweaks for HTC One?
1. Long press Back button will kill active app
2. When screen off, long press Vol button to skip tracks
3. When there is no notification, pull down status bar will show Quick Setting
4. At lockscreen, long press Home button to open Flashlight
Thanks a lot!

Hey Paul,

Show battery percentage works but hide battery meter doesn't work on my HTC EVO 3D.

That's weird. I'm going to send you a test version which should fix that.

1. Planned for a future release.
2. Ditto.
3. Would this not be a bit confusing? I think left hand side pull for notifications and right hand side pull for toggles would work better?
4. Not planned, i'll put it on the maybe list.

I don't have an Evo3D to test on sadly, but i'll have a look to see if it's anything obvious!

Hello Paul, any chance you can integrate 4x5 Prism for HTC One 4.1.2/4.2.2 ROMs? That would be neat, thanks anyway for your hard work! :)

EDIT: and 5x7 app drawer too, maybe... ;)

Hi Paul,

an odd one - I don't know if you can help/advise as someone who has used the toolkit extensively, or even patch this in the toolkit (ironically) so I thought I'd post it here and also on the framework thread on XDA... :-)

--
I've bought: https://play.google....y.FFIV_GP&hl=en (turns out it doesn't have any root detection at all)

Now it doesn't work - when I open it it fires up a blank screen - lots of people report this issue to be honest on the play store - but I figured a work around out...

if I disable ALL/ANY mods in exposed framework it works perfect.
if I enable ANY mod it fails.

My question is - is this a quirk of the xposed framework? I am not uninstalling the framework just having nothing active.

I only have three mods - the modaco toolkit, smart alarm icon, trackball alert. I have tried disabling all (works), enabling one at a time (fails)

the only common thing that seems to be present is if they are enabled it dies.
any thoughts?

2.1.3 Xposed Installer
32 App_process
2.1.2 xposedbridge,jar

thanks
