silence during calls

guys i' m having this problem from 2 o 3 days:

during a call i bring the phone close to the ear and the screen go black, after few second suddently i cannot hear anything but the other person can hear me (i think). i have to remove the phone from my ear (so the screen turn on) and the audio returns... it repeats every about 30s 1m. I think it depends from the proximity sensor also because i try to turn it off and everything is ok.

Now i' m running performance rom. i also tryed to do a fresh install of it but the problem came back. Anyhow some days before now everything was ok.

How could i solve it without turn the proximity sensor off ???
