you must have rooted phone to use custom roms other than official stock 2.3.5 gingerbread

actually no, you can have a ROM without ROOT because Clockworkmod doesn't need ROOT to work

For that my friend, it would be possible if AOSP would compile in ARMv6, in order for it to compile, we would have to adapt it or port over some things from Cyanogenmod. Maybe I'l give it a shot.
