Since Geno releases new builds frequently - check my sig for latest versions!

This is the first usable JB release of MIUI rom for g300.

Since there were at least five similar releases during last week, I`m pretty sure

that we could have something from MIUI after disappointing v4 (ICS) builds.

This is untouched Geno version, all chinese stuff can be normally uninstalled.

Installation instructions:

- You have to have ICS or JB (baseband 2030), rooted, unlocked bootloader and a recovery (cwm, maybe twrp)

- Download zip file (rom), gapps for JB and transfer that to SDcard

- Turn on debugging on your phone, turn off fast boot, turn off phone (some folks remove battery now:))

- Press vol. up and power button together for ~10 seconds.

- You are in CWM now (probably)

- Wipe data/factory reset

- Wipe cache partition

- Mounts: Format System, Cache, Cust, Data

- Advanced: Wipe Dalvik cache, battery stats if you have them, Reboot recovery

- Install zip from SDcard -> choose zip -> your rom (zip)

- Install zip from SDcard -> choose zip -> gapps for JB (zip)

- Reboot to system

Leave your phone now for 5 minutes, let it take a breath.

Go to Developer options in settings and switch off animations.

Works much better then other MIUI that I tried!

Just found little bug notification led don't work work for missed calls and sms.

It will be great if this ROM gain just little more speed and free ram and it will be perfect :)

I wonder if Shendu kernel could be replaced with dazzozo`s from cm10r6 rom?

Shendu`s gone open source few days ago...

I know it is not a simple process, but someone skilled could make something really good.

Correct me if I`m talking something stupid or unappropriate, I`m just a noob

Just tried this rom and am not impressed. As Dakok said, better then other attempts at Miui/JB but far from a pleasant experience. The only Miui worth using is this. Just remove the sim lock before flashing it (it has "that" problem) and you will look at all other Miui versions as psychological tests.

Don't think you're that far off, I replaced the kernel in stock ICS with PaulM's and it made all the difference performance wise.

It's a lot smoother than the previous version, but typing is still a bit laggy... Not really usage breaking, but seriously annoying. I'm not alone in this one right? Antutu scores 2594... The "normal" ICS roms I'm using usually score 3900-4000, ouch.

Try with Music app...

I've tried several. Had the same problem with Bruno's v5 MIUI. Solved it with Winamp, but that won't work with this release. Which is a shame , as I like the rom.

Download Big Buttons from Play and make it the default keyboard. I found it instantly responsive, while the stock keyboard was just a little bit laggy. BB is ideal for big fingers :) .
