Toggle2G allow you switch between 2G and 3G automatically help you save battery when your phone stay in sleep mode.

Toggle2G Features:

- Switch to 2G when wifi is connected.
- Switch to 2G when data is turned off.
- If screen is off for more that 10 minutes (configurable in the app) it will switch to 2G
- If screen is off and battery is below 30% (configurable in the app) it will switch to 2G
- Network usage monitoring to prevent switching to 2G if network is being used
- 3G can be re-enabled as soon as the screen is turned on or unlocked or it can be done manually
- Option to Disable data before switching network. (Required on some phones/ROMs)
- Option for manual switching back to 3G. This setting allows user to choose when to switch back to 3G by selecting a notification in the notification bar. Requires separate app

To make it possible you need to inject Toggle2G into flashable ROM zip file.

You need to download ResignUpdate file from here -> [APP] Toggle2G (Tasker/LTE/Rootless)

Tutorial

1. Open resign update tool, select ROM, press "Resign" and wait for 5-10 minutes



2. When done you'll see a new ROM with "-Toggle2G-resigned.zip" at the end of filename



3. Reboot recovery
4. Make nandroid backup (optional but highly recommended)
5. Factory reset



6. Flash new ROM file



7. Reboot
8. Now you should see Toggle2G icon in app drawer



9. Enjoy

Already tested by flashing Toggle2G-v0.3.5-Update.zip, no Toggle2G shown in app drawer.

Stock ROM is not compatible with Toggle2G so I inject and resign ROM.

yeah, it needs signed with the same key as the ROMs phone.apk to work.
i built the latest version with the stock holo theme the other day... hate the gingerbread theme shown above.

works fine with stock+ - I use it resigned to have 2G/3G switch available via Tasker
