Now I'm not sure how much better JB 4.1 is over 4.0. I know that JB 4.2 includes the better stock keyboard, plus 2G-3G toggles. Problem with 4.2 is the HW FM radio is gone. From what I'm reading of the 4.1 Y300 HW EMUI release, it includes the HW FM radio, an important feature for me. Not being a developer, the question is then could we build a EMUI 1.0 (or even 1.5) ROM sitting on JB 4.1. We have CM 10.0, plus the Y300/Y510 kernel code is available: http://cn.ui.vmall.com/emotiondownload.php?type=G510 I did try to install a Y300 user-created TouchMEZ Y300 ROM on my G300 but it failed installation.
