You can also overclock your phone, but don't expect miracles. The phone is cheap and is slow.

There are performance scripts and developer options you can change to increase performance too. A good way to increase performance is using a very slim launcher. Sometimes even in the launcher options itself there are features that can be disabled to increase performance.

Overall you won't be the speed of using gb though. I do think using sd2ext+ is faster than a2sd

If you want to keep 4.2.2 I would reccomend you use CM10.1, from my experience it's the fastest and most stable, and I've tested most of them quite extensively, also overcklocking will make,it faster, mine has been running 940 MhZ for months and I haven't had stability problems or anything, also for speed the best goveners are Lagfree and Ondemand but battery life suffers a little bit but it's not that bad.

Also if you don't use a lot of apps, stay away from int2ext or similar stuff as they will, if you have a slow sd card, decrease the performance.

Also using a newer build of CM10.1 might make a small difference, I can upload one if you want.

Yes please to an updated cm10.1 rom! I liked the old build but it has not been updated for a while.

Gbosh, you think cm10.1 is faster than slimbean? I thought your slim port was based on daz's cm10 build anyway?

Out of all the a2sd scripts the latest sd2ext script is the fastest, it uses a small swap file on the internal memory.

It feels faster to me, especially when both overclocked to the same speed and govenor

In that case I too are looking forward to the new release :)

Please do take your time though, although I'm sure everyone is eager to have the latest and best for our budget "beasts" we wouldn't be able to play around with many options if it wasn't for your contribution gbosh, thanks a million!

Ok, Here are the new builds

p736v (SF2) https://docs.google....HlEUWZwNDg/edit

p736e (Vivacity) https://docs.google....UZ4bU5LTUk/edit

I don't have a clue about what's been changed, but one is

the fix for the master key exploit, another one's the fix for the green bar and the off colours in some videos, which is already there in all my 4.2 ROM but (I think) not in CM10.1.

Obviously all the stuff from Cyanogenmod like CM10.1.2 and androidarmv6 that's happened is there, you can use any 4.2 gapps you want.

The device config is unaltered, but I might make a further build with some device specific updates, if there are any (haven't really kept track)

Thank you so much been waiting for a new CM10.1 build for ages and we now have a rom to fix the master key exploit :)

One cool feature I found is the camera toggle, it enables you to take a photo much quicker, cuz you don't have to open the camera app which takes forever

Cool. Btw you could do a topic like dazzozo's old one (http://www.modaco.co...t-updated-2002/) so more people would find this updated rom, especially as dazzozo's hasn't been updated since February. Also I take it the new cm10.1 build has now got Pie controls?

Also I was just wondering if you could also update your paranoid android build to include Halo?

Thanks :)

Ive now actually tried the rom on my vivacity and it is definitely one of the best 4.2.2 roms on the crescent.
