just flashed fusion and like you said screen timed out!! I did a battery pull and its rebooted but stuck on android? is this normal or do I need do something?

when the screen times out just press the power button and it comes back on, its just like when your phone screen locks before you put it in your pocket

you will need to do a full wipe from recovery and flash the rom again

Can anyone confirm whether the mic problem is fixed with this? That is, call recipient not being able to hear caller with MobileVoip app. Possibly the same bug as on Viber.

Thanks in advance.

Anyone know if this is still a problem on FusionX? I'm still getting it on B190. Voice gets a transmitted as a frog-like noise!

Hey Tillaz, Would the official TWRP recovery V2.6 for Huawei Y300, also work for Huawei ascend G510-100 model as well?

G510 have stable recovery TWRP too... The device codename is U8951.

REQ: Wake with Volume Buttons

Since the case I own makes the power button to be quite unresponsive, waking the device with vol+/- buttons would be a nice addition.

i already tried flashing a vol-button-wake mod

(http://www.android-hilfe.de/root-custom-roms-modding-fuer-huawei-ascend-y300/435482-ascend_y300-y300-0100_android_4-1_emotion_ui_v100r001c00b182-3.html#post5969801)

but this renders the device unbootable..

well, i have fixed the battery stats in settings,

it turns out huawei had not setup the power_profile.xml properly within the framework...

i'm not sure how accurate they are going to be as i have just had to do my best at estimations for the mAh usage as there was nothing to work with

as you can see below.

i just had to go off my nexus 4 profile so hopefully i have got them quite accurate, will have to test this for a while :(

have no idea where the EMUI settings are getting the stats from, unless they are hard coded in the .apk, and without the source code i can't see them.

interesting that they say the capacity is only 1000mAh

I too bought my Y300 from Carphone Warehouse. £120 for Sim-Free/Unlocked or £60 and a £10 top-up and it's unlocked anyway. Good job CP.

This ROM is awesome, great work. Does anyone know how I can get my Power Toggles back? Is there a zip I can flash? I lost them changing my firmware.

yes, the new version to me seems more fluid,

as for better multi tasking you can improve this in the currant version via the performance settings,

from the advanced settings tab change the free memory option to the lowest option, this defines at what level of free RAM android will start to kill processes.

remember to tick -> set on boot.

Hey, sweet updates.

Have you done anything regarding the HWA issue that ROMs based on stock have?

Thank you..

nope, this still has me confused

i'm going to contact huawei and ask what is going on with that, or if anyone else would like to that would be great,

more people bugging them about it means more chance of an answer lol although the chances of getting anything helpful are extremely slim :(

so, what people would ask when emailing them is something like this:

To: [email protected]

On the Huawei Y300, could you please tell me why / how the -> android:hardwareAccelerated="true" tag does not work for any apps on the system partition?

its clearly intentional, so could you please tell me how this has been achieved, so i can attempt to reverse it.

Note:

remind them you have an official unlocked bootloader, and are part of the modaco forum

(might help, since i think loads of there sales are from development community's)
