Guest dalyer Posted September 11, 2013 Report Share Posted September 11, 2013 (edited) An update.app is the way that Huawei packages their stock ROMs. You put it in a /dload folder on your sdcard and then boot the phone in a way that finds and flashes the ROM. If the G301 can definitely take G300 ROMs then you can follow this part of the bootloader unlock tutorial to flash the stock B952 update.app. http://www.modaco.co...d/#entry2128104 The update.app in that post is identical to the one here - just uploaded as a two part zip to a faster download server: http://www.huaweidev...softid=NDcwMjk= Always check the MD5 checksum of the update.app before trying to install it. Hope this helps. i understand it thanks. but there is a problem. if i flash g300 stock rom it will says ascend g300 in setttings not g301. and they will figure out i flashed custom rom. can we find u8816's update app ? or i have an idea. first flash g300 stock rom with update.app backup the original recovery and bootloader with adb or fastboot. flash cwm and flash stock u8816 rom. and flash u8815's bootloader and recovery which i backed up with adb and bootloader. can i do it? i mean backup bootloader and recovery is possible by adb or fastboot? i have really bad english sorry for that. i hope you will understand it :) Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
