p.s. yes, I know betas are available right now.. I run Ubuntu Gnome myself : \

p.s.2. yes I am aware that Wayland/Mir may not work and that we will have to work with the horrible X server.. but I just cant wait to get this flashed on if possible.. :D

Well the phone meets the minimum CPU specification to run Ubuntu, probably & mem specs. Possible problem may be nand storage bat hopefully repartitioned it will be in of to host main image, the full (PC like) one can be hosted on SD card.

All of this don't mean much if we can't get rid of the xserver & Google flinger, as I hire xMir that is capable of running on it's one is still in early development stage especially for touch devices & it's expected to be developed in 2¼ of 2014.

This is actually noting new scheduled roadmap whose second part of October.

The other part of problem can represent Qualcomms gpu drivers bat luckily the free dreno works with 2xx Adreno series ...

We will see!

I cant find that video... there was one where they compared Raspberry pi with x and wayland.. you could see MINOR framing on x when windows were moved around... then they shifted to wayland.. it was FLYING!
