hi, not sure if i'm being stupid or if latest zips have got bigger?

have tried twice following optional parts also exactly, logs say i need 6061kb extra space.

here are my versions:

recovery-clockwork-6.0.4.5-u8815-R8

cm-11-20150227-NIGHTLY-u8815

delete-CM-stuff-20150126-signed

pa_gapps-modular-pico-4.4.4-20150221-signed

many thanks

edit: well i can see for a fact the zips have got bigger, but not sure if that's issue, will try flashing older versions later.

Have you copied the gapps-config.txt to your SD card?

Can you post or upload somewhere your pa_gapps_log.txt to help me find out what can be the problem?

What is in your gapps-config.txt?

The log shows that it is empty(?).

Because of this, the installer doesn't use the smallbuffer option.

yeah i saw the smallbuffer line in there, that's all it contains. i will check the one on phone actually has that later, fairly sure it does though!edit:

edit: OOOPs! the config files on phone somehow got blanked when it copied, after i pasted smallbuffer in and saved, it installed first time didn't need to do any more wipes or anything. thanks! not sure how that file came out blank, that's a weird one, all the other zips copied over fine.

The ROM as well as the GAPPS seem to have grown some MB again.

I succeeded installing GAPPS 2015-01-15 only on my device after some failures due to missing memory.

Delete zip updated.

Now it deletes CyanTone and Boxbeat ringtones too.

MediaFire links removed, since google banned it from goo.gl.

(any suggestion for a good url shortener service that has larger limits than bit.ly (10.000/month) and has stats?)

Extended the first post with a small part what shows you how to make more space or just simply delete some part of the ROM with the installation of GApps.

This link does not work!!!

Thanks for the report.

TKruzze stopped working on GApps and deletes all his stuff. [link]

I uploaded the latest version of his GApps package that I have, so you can download it.

I think Ryan Cavitt (Kira) will continue maintain the GApps, like you can see here: https://plus.google.com/communities/118384114240675055839

And here: https://www.androidfilehost.com/?w=files&flid=28241, you can find some GApps versions by Tkruzze.

rhen, can you do something for g300 with those links?

Thanks.

Kira only released updated version for LP so far, but I'll check it later if he update the KK too.

Your second link contains the same version of GApps what I uploaded to my storage. I don't know if it ever will be updated.

Guys, I think this is the point when I leave this thing alone.

Seems like the G300 development is dead and PA Gapps is dead too.

I use a G510 now, but have many issues with it. Especially the small storage and RAM.

I plan to switch phone again but this time one step above this class of phones.

Thank you all for this forum. It was fun. :)

Thanks @rhen , for keeping this alive..

It was a fun journey, but G300 is almost dead now...

Almost everyone that, in the past, have been here, already upgraded to something new (OnePlus here :D :P )...

But good old time...

Maybe i see you in another section :)

The 69-delete-CM-stuff.sh runs only upon ROM update.

You need to add the things you want to delete to the META-INF\com\google\android\updater-script too.

I don't know how to create that file.

can you create a file, which for example remove:      /system/app/Apollo.apk

then I can figure out how add something else.

You don't need to create that file.

It is in the zip file too. If you look into it, you will see where you should put that in that file.

This package is for Dazzozo's CM11 ROM.

It made for make space for Paranoid Android's Pico Modular package to fit on the G300's /system partition.

If you are an Y300/G510 owner, you don't need this!

What it does:

Removes the following things and keep it deleted across ROM update:

- CyanogenMod Wallpapers: CMWallpapers.apk

- Live Wallpapers: Galaxy4.apk, HoloSpiralWallpaper.apk, LiveWallpapers.apk, MagicSmokeWallpapers.apk, NoiseField.apk, PhaseBeam.apk, PhotoPhase.apk, PhotoTable.apk, VisualizationWallpapers.apk

- Media content: bootanimation.zip, CyanTone.ogg, Boxbeat.ogg

- The following apps: VideoEditor.apk, WhisperPush.apk

Download links:

Google Drive

Instructions for installing the Latest PA GApps Pico Modular package:

What you need:
- Download the latest non Uni PA GApps Pico Modular package
- Download the delete-CM-stuff-20150313-signed.zip and gapps-config.txt

The installation method:
1. Copy the downloaded files to the root of your SD card.
2. (optional) Format /system /cache, Wipe Dalvik Cache.
3. (optional) Install latest CM11.
4. Install delete-CM-stuff-20150313-signed.zip.
5. Install pa_gapps-modular-pico-4.4.4-20150308-signed.zip.

For updating GApps in the future you will only need the PA GApps and the gapps-config.txt (this will not change).
(If you update with formatting the /system partition, you will need the delete-CM-stuff-20150313-signed.zip again.)

You can also remove some parts of the ROM by adding the following keyword to the gapps-config.txt:

Hidden Content

I want to thank Dazzozo and the contributors for the excellent KitKat ROM and TKruzze for the GApps package.

Hi Rhen,

I know this sounds a bit late but I have an old Huawei G300+ U8815-71 that I want to breath new life into. I installed Dazzozo's CM11 along with your GApps & delete-CM-stuff-20150313-signed.zip on another Huawei G300 back in the day but it died sadly and I lost all the installation files. I was able to redownload Dazzozo's [KK] [4.4.4] CyanogenMod 11.0 [ROM] but the download link https://goo.gl/u7ZwTP for delete-CM-stuff-20150313-signed.zip which allows for enough partition space no longer works.

This was my first ever phone and it remains very sentimental to me. If you still have the file can you please update the link on the thread or send me a new one please.

Thanks in advance.

@rhen Can you send me the delete-cm-stuff file too? I need it to refresh my very first personal touchscreen phone that i had as a kid (Huawei Y300-0100 ), now my grandma owns it and complains its too slow lol. I have gapps modular pico and cm11 (cm11 is specific to the Y300-0100 so dont worry ) but i need this to complete the refresh.
