I got two covers in lime and royal blue and after a few days of use (removal and snapped back on) they too started creaking. So what's the deal with the more expensive flip shell? The flip cover is a thicker plastic and generally a bit more solid. I've found that the microfibre cloth style inner is a bit prone to dirt marks, though thus may be because I have the turquoise case which is fairly light...
