And you did as I said regarding baidu

and gapps problematic installation?

First baidu, reboot, set wifi

Then flash gapps, do not set them yet, pull notifications

from top, touch gear icon (settings)

and go to accounts there - add account, google

and set it there.

"My" rom or original - it is the same when you

try to install baidu and gapps.

But it pays off later: )

If you stuck, go to cwm and wipe cache and dalvik and try

again

I keep getting this weird issue. I have been using TWRP 2.4.4 and had no problems so far. I flashed baidu 55 from the link few posts ago (not gapps, just to see the rom) no problem also. But, I have tried for days to flash dakok's lean-westernized v54 with gapps and it boots OK, WiFi as instructed, setup wizard keeps crashing (no biggie) but I cannot go into settings. I pull down the bar, press the gear icon, no response. Reboot, flash, re-flash, wait for Google setup to finish, skip the Google setup, it says wait for second and it goes for ages

Baidu works fine for some reason,I set it up but noticed few problems.
In deep sleep, wifi on and network is on and battery drains about 7-8 % while on stock Coollife UI ( to2c software ) only 1-2 % of battery ?

I'm talking about 10 hours left untouched over night ...

Also I keep getting some notification pop-up No net, please check back while you clearly can see that there is network signal and wifi ?

And dakok how to disable that irritation security program ?

i put my fingernail in between where the metal ends and the plastic bezel meets it and prize it off at the corners - seems to work ok.

Did the case protect your screen ok?

Great, will try that. Yes, phone is intact, the metal frame on the case was the only one damaged so far.

I installed baidu v54 about 3-4 times and

in one of those attempts I got that net warning,

although network was fine.

Other installations went fine.

Was it something I removed or another thing

I did in settings,

I don't know

"My" Baidu repack was just for fun, it is basicaly

a normal rom with ten or so apps removed.

You can flash normal release and remove

Chinese apps with app uninstaller (red icon)

after rom installation.

Or you can block and hide some of those inside

OS.

Now I flashed original 54 again and gapps later

and rom is perfectly stabile and smooth.

I was playing 5 minutes with trying to get into

settings and google account over that icon in

notification curtain and it can be done.

I did it succesfully for 3 times in 4 attempts.

When I got that net error, I did factory reset

in baidu and it was fine then

Thanks I'll try factory reset, for some reason this warning dissapered.

But what could cause that drain of 7-8 % during night while on stock rom I lost usually 1-2 % ?

Is there any setting for limiting cpu cores like in original Cool life ?

My battery drain is as good as in most roms I tried...

What do you think of Baidu, anyway?

Not bad, ha? :)

How much screen on do you get in daily use,I got 5h 15 min on original ROM ?

So then you also lose about 7 % battery in deep sleep while wifi on and airplane mode off ?

I think it good, smooth, beatiful customization with lockscreens and themes, nice app drawer and recent apps switcher, all in all nice ROM.

Only trouble was adjusting keyboard and all that apps, could you tell me how to disable AutoStart by MUI so I can use Greenify ?

I get about 1-1.5 days with 4.5 - 5.5h SOT

2 full days with about 4h SOT

I didn't notice any extra drain during night (I switch off wifi :)), but 7%

isn't that bad - it makes only 7-14% during regular 2-day charging cycle.

What is AutoStart by Miui???

I installed Greenify now and Baidu kindly asks me for the autostart permission

which I generously approved :D

If you didn't catch it there, you may find it in Settings - apps - autostart

I think it good, smooth, beatiful customization with lockscreens and themes, nice app drawer

and recent apps switcher, all in all nice ROM.

That is only what is on the surface.

Baidu is fluent, stabile, has a better memory management than Miui

It has most of the stuff that made Miui so popular but it is smoother, the feeling is almost like that of AOSP.

- Changable icon size

- Switchable app drawer

- Gestures (a short list to be honest)

- Disabling apps, hiding apps and 4 sorting options in app drawer

- Permission manager

- App locker

- Traffic monitor

- Ad filter

- Anti disturbance

- Antivirus

- Volume wake

- App verification before installing

- Voice unlock

- Disabling lockscreen

- Auto startup manager

- Status bar transparency choice

- Flashing screen on calls

- Recording phone conversations

...

I tried to find it but it vanished :)

It is not hosted as a regular Baidu Drive download.

If you want me to I could upload it to Google Drive tomorrow...

If you could, that would be great. :)

EDIT: Also if someone knows how to totally disable CPU Power Saver mode in PURE AOSP V2? It turns itself on after rebooting. Is there a setting in a system file I can tweak or what? Thank you.

I saw someone else ask this question but it was left unanswered. How is the camera in the baidu roms compared to factory roms? In every ported rom I tried the camera made pretty bad pictures.

@dlakom yeah ROM is amazing, smooth and bug free for now :)

The problem is I cant find normal lockscreen with sliding unlock, few lockscreen I tried are all in Chinese and dont offer customization...

Also why cant I resize widgets?

Tommorow Im going to try this new coolife lite ...

Although I knew that it has nothing

to do with baidu flashing I

turned off phone just now,

pulled out battery to take out SD card

Pushed battery in and turned the phone

on.

No problemo over here.

You are doing something wrong

the whole time.

I didnt say it was rom problem ;)

I dont know what could cause problem that phone works fine without any problems and later stuck in boot loop...

The question is where can I download stock ROM with Coolife UI 5.5,that was fine for me I dont know why did I even start this,I bought from to2c and that ROM was great with no chinese apps, multilanguage, smooth and fast also
