Hi guys

Using the instructions from http://huaweinews.com/2014/01/android-4-4-ascend-g510/ I have managed to root, unlock and install the 2014-08-02 CM11 nightly from http://getcm.thebronasium.com/?device=u8951

The CWM I use is the one from here: http://www.modaco.com/topic/367021-kk-444-cyanogenmod-110-rom-all-nightly-builds-available/

So far so good. Things are snappy, I was able to install the Google apps. I'm super satisfied with it.

However I have an annoying problem. When I try to download an OTA update of CM11, like the latest build from today 2014-08-04 http://getcm.thebronasium.com/?device=u8951 the download goes ok, but then when I want to install it (phone restarts into recovery) I get an error that says that file is not found! and the phone reboots in the current CM11

The only way I could install the update was to manually move it from the Internal Card to the SD Card, where apparently he expects it to be. After I manually made the move, I went again to the usual location in android where you manage the OTA updates and restarted the update process. This time it worked!

My question to you is: what do I have to do to make the OTA updates download to the SD card and not on the Internal card?

Thx

Mine installs to internal but it works fine, but I use Y300 u8833, so I don't know if its an issue with u8951, but I've not seen anyone moan about this before ??

Try settin the SD as primary ;)

Settings>>Storage>>(Tick √?)

Edit:- Wrong section though

Issue was solved by unchecking the set SD as primary. Now the update is downloaded on the internal memory and CWM is reading it from the internal memory also. What is the advantage of checking "Set SD as primary" as I was able to move my apps to SD without this checked also?

Thanks again for the hints
