CyanogenMod 11.0 for the Huawei Ascend G330

  

You must use a recovery updated for 4.3+ (with the EXT4 fix) to use this ROM otherwise you will encounter issues. A CWM build is linked below.

FAQ:
Where did the developer/performance options go?
Tap on the build number 5 times in "About phone".

Where did the recovery reboot option go?
It has to be enabled in developer options, "Advanced reboot".

Why did the boot animation change? Why did the Play Store disappear? Why does my phone not leave the boot animation?
A change Huawei made (for seemingly no reason) completely breaks 4.3+. It has been reverted in the kernel here, but recoveries may need updating too.

You need to update your Android platform tools and then approve the PC on your device. Android 4.2.2+ feature.

Hi,

I am new here. Thanks for your effort providing a CM package for the Huawei G330.

Just saw your notes to install it and followed accordingly.

I have a Huawei G330 (U8825-1) and want to install a CM10.2 or CM11 package.

 

After I installed the recommended ClockworkMod Recovery Image (Installation went OK) I wanted to install the G330 ROM zip file.

But unfortunately I receive this error message staying the Image is incompatible.

 

"Can't install this package on top of incompatible data"

 

Any idea?

Further I recognized that the Link to the Recovery Image Points to an Image for u8833 (Y300) devices. Is that OK?

 

I also saw Little ZIP file to convert a Y300 Image to an G330 Image. What is the Need for this Image?

I wonder if have to install after installing the ROM Image how this will work, I the installtion of the ROM gets rejected already?

Thanks for the your hint to the TWRP Recovery image instead. This worked pretty well. I have not had any difficulties to install my CM11 Upgrade anymore.

Twrp recovery for G330 is the same for Y300\G510, you can download it from the topic for y300 or also directly from the official site.
