Calls to a dedicated GSM Fax number will not ring on the SPV (but will ring to the calling party until a 'no answer' divert is triggered), and calls to a dedicated GSM Data number are dropped. It has been stated that support for multi-numbering fax and data calls is an optional component of the GSM specification. Whilst inconvenient, the lack of support on the SPV is not critical. However as the platform does not support the functionality, the result will be that all Smartphone based 'phones will not support incoming fax and data calls until this issue is resolved.
