Will an SD fit on the memory slot of my Smartphone or is it intended only for MMC? What's the estimated price of a 128 mb MMC and 264 SD? Thanks.

You can get a 128Mb MMC card for P2,500.00 at DATACORE in Robinson's Galleria or VirraMall. Comes with 1 yr warranty :)

You can get a 128Mb TwinMos or Sandisk brand SD for P2900 at Park Square Makati. I guess its MMC counterpart is only around P2K. You can check at those computer shops in Makati or Greenhills or sa mga malls...

@jologs are you serious with your question? you see not everyone have mucho dinero. Now if 128Mb and 256Mb are equally priced at P3000, then definitely one wil get the 256

@docles try to go today at Smart Tower 33rd flr 2pm-4pm and join the Smartphone users' meet and ask help from there maybe they could take a look at your memory card

cheers...

Please tell me where I can get the 128Mb TwinMos for P2900; the cheapest I found when walking around there was P3700.

I hear the TwinMos is good as it is made by Toshiba. Other brands, e.g. Transcend and Lexar are made by Sandisk. Panasonic makes its own brand, and used to make Lexar-branded as well but according to this SPUG thread, no longer.

This PIC thread compares VFS benchmarks for Lexar, Toshiba, and Sandisk.

Hey Dondi,

That's a nice idea for an avatar... using your screenshot. :D

LOL! I tried doing one like yours, using my Zire 71, but the lighting was just too difficult. So I used RemoteDisp and Paintbrush!

I called Datacore and inquired about their MMCs, and they said wala daw warranty MMCs nila?? pwede ba yun?

you mean pwede na ba yun bilhin? it's to your discretion.

I recommend the SD over the MMC since the SD fits just right on the slot (MMC is thinner so there's a gap) SD's a little pricey though.
