On SmartPhone 2002 if you don't read a new message, all preceeding messages will not trigger the audio alert. I just noticed Outlook XP does the same! Why bug people in the office with sounds if you aren't there to hear them? Doesn't make a lot of sense for a phone, just bad design as oppossed to a bug.
