Calling all MoDaCo Game Developers:

Place in this topic all games that are currently being developed by yourselves, this way we can colaborate on productions, prevent duplicate work, and advertise for help in the development of our games.

Last Updated: 4-7-2003

Games in development currently:

Bub and Bob in Pacland (enhanced pacman clone, on hold)

Microturismo (bit like supersprint/micro machines)

Moon Patrol (conversion of the classic moon patrol game)

RPG Thing (RPG game creator thingiemajig)

Smartanoid (arkanoid/breakout clone..... free to modaco plus members)

Pong (the classic arcade game)

This list will be kept up to date as much as possible,

note: this is games in development by MoDaCo members, not commercial titles (that i know of).

also, in this thread we could also maybe advertise for artists, coders, musicians etc.

If you are developing a non-commercial game and would like it listed then please let me know and i will add to this list.

hi

I'm working on a Bomberman clone (it was requested a few times).

Some info about the game:

Called: Bomberzone

Features: Powerups, Player bots (I believe it will be the first non-commercial bomberman clone to have bots. There isn't even a PC bomberman clone which has bots), phone vibrates when explosions go off.

Progress: 75% (need beta testers as from now)

I'll post some screenshots at some point too.

I also have a Boulderdash clone which I'm considering porting to the smartphone, this has the usual boulders, enemies, jewels and some new features like teleports and telepads to teleport boulders. I'd port this if I got enough interest.

I'm currently working on a native version of Chuckie Egg (it was one of my favourite games as a kid).

I have no idea if or when it will come to fruition but I'd be interested to know if anyone else is doing the same (in which case I needn't bother) ;)

Hey guys I really want to start programming games but don't really know where to go now. I've done a funky little shooter but that just involved bitmap manipulation. What's the best resource to start programming games like the old amiga ones or similar? ... I'll then add some to the list :)

I'm going to have some good news on this soon

in the meantime, some sites worth looking at :-

http://www.pocketpcdn.com/

http://www.flipcode.com/articles/articles_summary.shtml

http://gpwiki.org/

the first being PocketPC and the others being more general programming sites
