Simply put the .cab into your start menu (IPSMWindowsStart Menu) over activesync on your PC.
Then hit Programs and click it.  It will then install like any other application ;)

Ok, so I cannot find the IPSM folder. Where is it??? I've tried to "search" for it, but every search shows nothing.

unfortunetly you will need a third party program to what you are asking the best one is sniper but you have to leave it running to work as you would with any of its competitiors

Sniper is available in the MoDaCo software store.
http://fairdeal.moda...uct.asp?id=6822

As for the registry tweak I am only aware of it working on the MPX220, I have not seen reports of it working on other devices.

ok you can get it from www.smartphone.net

and when installed you have to goto your phone settings and untick recieve incoming beams this allows sniper to take over the recieving for you also you will have to tell sniper where you want the incoming files to go you can do that in the settings menu on sniper.

Alreet!

I have been trying out your wicked twekas for my C600. they are workin a treat.

There is one thing that is really buggin me though. On my orange phone when i have chosen/type in my number to dial and pressed the call key a 'blue' screen with the ornage logo at the top appears

i have tried to find the source of this gif in the registry but don't seem to be able to locate it

Any ideas wher it could be and how to get rid

Cheers

Anyone know the registry tweaks for the blue screens displayed when a call is made or received?

Hi
You will find it here for INCOMING calls :
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Shell\Rai\:Callalert]
"BKBitmapFile"="\windows\Watermark_Incoming.gif"

either change registry to another file / path, or edit the existing gif
image size is 240*266 on QVGA smartphone (240*320)

For OUTGOING, I've changed an other file, but not in registry this time :
\Windows\C600_DialScreen_8bit.bmp
I just replaced bitmap by another, full color with same name.
maybe name will not be the same depending of your device....

Hey scudo, thanks a TON for that!!!! Worked great!!!! I didn't have the registry key for the INCOMING, so I had to create it. The image for the OUTGOING file on my US T-Mobile SDA was \Windows\cprogback.png

Hi yoos
U're welcome. for outgoing, it might be interesting to find registry key, it must exist I think.
if you want, here are keys for changing other screens :
Go to :
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Shell\Rai

main keys list (":" is part of the key..) :
- :Callalert (incoming call)
- :ErrorBox (when you have an error message)
- :ExclamationBox (exclamation message)
- :InformationBox (information message)
- :MSBranding (operator logo - pin code screen etc..)
- :BrandingBox (operator logo - ?)
- :MSCdial (operator logo - composing a number)
- :MSClog (background image of call list screen)
- :QuestionBox (question message)
- :VolDlg (backgroud image when adjsuting sound level)

for all except the 2 of operator logo, you put a string value "BKBitmapFile" with the path or your image (mostly 240*293px).
for operator logo pic, size is 240*27px
for :MSCdial & :MSBranding, string value name is "BannerImage" instead of BKBitmapFile.
be sure to put images on device and not on storage, cause they are readen at bootup, before accessing the storage card...

Check out my tweak to get rid of the Hotmail and Outlook accounts. Possibly a good idea to quote it with this list?

HEEELLLLPPPP...
I am having issues putting ringtones on the sd card, this is what i did:
1) I created a folder called 'ringtones' in my storage card folder and put a file called ringtone.wav in there (with this name i can change the file without changing the reg if i want to change the tone, correct?)
2) renaed the string in the reg to /Storage Card/ringtones/ringtone.wav
then called myself using the housephone and my phone just beeped at me - no fancy wav..?! :)
when i lookkd in settings>sounds the ringtone for line one was 'alarm 1' should it be? THen when i looked in the reg the string had been renamed to 'alarm 1" (which explains the last bit..)
any idea what i have done wrong?
cheers guys - you fountains of all knowledge you...

where do I go to modify that?
