Guest sebset
News posted on http://www.smartphone2002.info/ UPDATE: Erstes Bild vom O2 Smartphone Heute erreichte uns dieses Bild, was angeblich das O2 Smartphone zeigt. ONE THING FOR SURE... THIS PHONE IS NOT A HTC CANARY...
Guest
What makes you say it's not an HTC Canary? It looks exactly like a Canary running 2003. Which I think is great news - maybe there's life in the old dog yet! ;)
Guest sebset
Open your eyes and compare these two pics. Not the same shape, less space between screen and keyboard ;) and If this device has an integrated camera - then - it is a new HTC model. Guest Crispy
If this device has an integrated camera - then - it is a new HTC model. Ohhhh! .. so its a SPV2 wannabe ... how cute!! ... or something

I can see where you're coming from, the screen and keyboard do look closer, but I think it's a trick of the light.

Guest sebset
"based on HTC Canary" ok, but that doesn't mean this phone IS a HTC Canary ;). It is a new HTC product. new cover = new product

Guest Jakob
It is definately a new HTC model. This is the dopod 515 specifications >> LOOK HERE << This is the Canary specifications (in danish)>> LOOK HERE << The size is the same (almost) and according to >> THIS << - the camera is detachable. Looking at the attached picture (I totally lack any ability to draw anything on a computer - no jokes - please). (Pictures courtesy of Smartphone2002, dopod & Orange ), you will see the similarities in the phone models. The top of the O2 seems "roundish" just like the Tanager - it has the same type of screen/cover transistion - and the O2 seems thicker than the original Canary. and lot of other things... My best guess is that it sports a camera, 2003 and some more memory... /Jakob
Guest hk
I want E200 (that the name they decided on now?).
Guest Gorskar
But why oh why would they base a new smartphone on the canary model when we know that the tanager is much superior from a usability point of view.

Guest smartphone-web.com
As I mentioned before: This is a HTC Canary with Smartphone 2003. Not a new model!
Guest morpheus2702
Why the Canary design? Probably because it is 'CHEEP'! Sorry, couldn't resist that!

Guest Maverick
The person holding the phone probably took the picture using the add-on camera and then pulled it out.
