Guest rpb Posted September 30, 2003 Report Share Posted September 30, 2003 There are conflicting reports as to whether the MPx200 processor will run at 200 MHz or 132 MHz. Most reports say 200 MHz but this link:- http://focus.ti.com/omap/docs/omaphomepage.tsp seems to show it will be the slower TI Omap 710 processor. Does anyone know for sure? Just before the official launch I found a reference on http://www.motorola.co.za/products/product...mingphones.aspx saying that the MPx200 would be upgradable to Smartphone 2003 (see Word attachment). This has now been pulled and I have not seen this possibility referred to anywhere else. Guest Smart-UP Posted October 1, 2003 Report Share Posted October 1, 2003 I can tell you that the processor speed is 200mhz and it is possible to upgrade the MPX-200 to SMartphone 2003 but as to this upgrade actually being available to everyone (i.e. outside the trade) is not yet clear.
